Humanities Montana and The Democracy Project

Humanities Montana celebrated it’s 50th year as an organization in 2022, a nonprofit affiliate of the National endowment for the Humanities, Humanities Montana works across the state to encourage, facilitate and fund Humanities centered projects at school, institutions and nonprofits such as the Butte America Foundation.

One of their most recent ventures is The Democracy Project, a teen-led initiative working to spur civic engagement in younger generations.

I spoke with the coordinator of the Democracy Project, Jenny Bevill, over the phone to learn more and see how the project will evolve.
