KBMF will hold its second annual pledge drive June 11th-17th, during which time we'll ask our listeners to call in their donations and help us raise $12,500. These funds will go directly to the operational costs of the radio station and will help us continue our service for another year.
Last year, KBMF's first pledge drive goal was $7500. We were astounded when listeners donated more than $10,000, a strong confirmation that KBMF is a vital community resource. Since last June, KBMF has expanded its program schedule to accommodate more than 65 volunteer DJs who host unique music programs from 7am-2am every day. We have also added more news and science programs to the schedule, including Native America Calling (5pm weekdays) and Travelers in the Night (weekdays at 7am and 9am).
KBMF is listener-supported, non-commercial, educational community radio for the city of Butte. Other than a few staff members, it is completely volunteer, including the board of directors of the Butte America Foundation, our parent organization.
Please make a donation this year during the pledge drive, and let us know that you want KBMF to stay on the air for another year. We'll be asking for donations June 11th-17th. Thank you so much.
