KBMF Staff and Volunteers Headed to Standing Rock

The Butte America Foundation and Indian People's Action are partnering to send support materials to the water protectors at the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation. Donations of winter clothing, non perishable food items and camping materials can be dropped off in the first floor conference room at the Carpenters Union Hall, 156 W Granite in Uptown Butte. Indian People's Action will then transport these materials to the camps at Standing Rock. Please bring materials to the Carpenters Hall before November 17th.

In addition to this partnership with Indian People's Action, the Butte America Foundation is sending three of its volunteers and staff to document the events at Standing Rock. KBMF General Manager Clark Grant, KBMF Music Director Dark Sevier, and KBMF volunteer Suzanne Stefanac will travel to Standing Rock to document the events in pictures, audio and written word. Their trip goes from Nov 17th through Nov 21st. Monetary donations to support this effort will go directly toward the cost of travel and lodging for the documentation crew. Any donations accrued that exceed the cost of travel will be donated to Indian People's Action. Donations can be made online at butteamericafoundation.org or mailed to BAmF PO Box 394 Butte, MT 59703.
